Introdução

A voz passiva (passive voice) no nível B2 é essencial para o inglês formal britânico. No Reino Unido, a passiva é usada extensivamente em documentos parlamentares, relatórios da BBC, anúncios da Família Real e correspondência empresarial. A tradicional retenção de formalismo britânico faz com que estruturas como "It is announced that..." e "The bill was passed by Parliament" sejam extremamente comuns.

Passive Voice in All Tenses

A passiva é formada com BE no tempo correto + Past Participle. No British English formal, a passiva é preferida em contextos institucionais, jornalísticos e acadêmicos.

The Tower of London was built by William the Conqueror in 1078.
