Past Simple — Regular and Irregular Verbs

Regular: add -ed. Irregular: memorize forms. No British English, alguns verbos terminam em -t em vez de -ed: learnt, dreamt, spoilt, leant, burnt.

I walked to the station.

Time Expressions for the Past

Use yesterday, last + time word, ago, and 'the other day' for recent past. 'The other day' é muito comum no British English para falar de algo que aconteceu há poucos dias.

I met her yesterday.

We moved here three months ago.
