Nuala lost her grandmother's ring at the beach in Donegal. It must have fallen off while she was swimming. She could have left it in the changing room, but she is not sure. Her brother thinks it might have been stolen. "It can't have just disappeared," he says. The lifeguard believes it may have been washed away by the tide. Nuala should have taken it off before going into the water. She might find it if she searches carefully at low tide. Her grandmother would have been heartbroken if she knew. "I needn't have worn it today," Nuala sighs.
