Máire looks at her watch. It is half past nine. The bus leaves at ten o'clock. She has twenty euros in her pocket. "How much is the ticket?" she asks. "Fifteen euros, please," the driver says. She sits on seat number twelve. The journey takes two hours. At twelve o'clock, they arrive in Galway. It is the first of May. The weather is cold — only eight degrees! Máire buys a coffee for three euros fifty. "What time is it now?" she asks. "It is quarter past twelve," the barista says.
