Present Perfect

Emma has lived in London for ten years. She has worked as a journalist since 2015. She has travelled to many countries for her job. "Have you ever been to Japan?" her colleague asks. "Yes, I have. I went there last year," she replies. Emma has changed a lot since she moved to London. She has learned to speak Italian. She has made many friends. But she hasn't found a flat she loves yet. "I have looked at twenty flats this month," she says. "I haven't seen the right one." Her boss has just given her a promotion. Emma has never been happier. London has become her home.
